From 2023, the Sustainable Energy and Energy Saving Investment Grant (ISDE) will be available to more people. What will change?
One insulation measure
In 2023, the grant can also be applied for if only one insulation measure is carried out. However, that measure must have been carried out after 1 April 2022. The grant will then amount to approximately 15% of the insulation costs. If a second (or more) measure is carried out within 24 months, the grant will be doubled to approximately 30%. Glass
The subsidy for glass insulation is calculated per square metre. For glass installed on or after 1 January 2023, the total area of the window frame and glass is measured from the inside.
Cooking facilities
From 2023, you will be able to apply for a grant towards the purchase of an electric vehicle. This grant amounts to €400. The conditions are:
- the property is connected to a district heating network;
- After 1 April 2022, the gas meter will have been permanently removed;
- No ISDE grant was received for the connection to the district heating network;
- The new, unused electric hob was purchased after 1 April 2022.
Heat pumps
From 2023, heat pumps will be permitted to have a higher capacity. The thermal capacity of the heat pump may be 400 kW (for interconnected systems: 500 kW).
Homeowners’ Association
The grant for Owners’ Associations (VvE) will be transferred to the Subsidy Scheme for Making Owners’ Associations More Sustainable (SVVE). For solar panels and wind turbines, owners’ associations can still apply for ISDE funding.
ISDE application
From 2023, the application deadline for the grant will be extended. Homeowners will have no fewer than 24 months to submit their application. This period begins once the energy-saving measure has been implemented (for business users, the opposite applies: they must submit their application before having the measure carried out).
