Minister Koolmees, in a Chamber letter know that there will be no further delay in submitting the application for determination of NOW for grant period 1 (NOW-1).
No later than 31 October 2021
This means that the request for determination of the grant no later than 31 October 2021 must have been submitted to the UWV. If the request is not submitted or is submitted late, the UWV will set the grant at nil. The full advance received must then be repaid.
BUT ....
14 weeks
Koolmees also indicated that entrepreneurs who are unable to submit their request for the determination of the subsidy because the required auditor's report is still missing will be given a 14-week period to rectify this omission.
In the implementation, this is arranged so that when making the determination application, it can be ticked that the entrepreneur is still waiting for the auditor's report to be attached to the determination. After this option is ticked, the application is aborted. The entrepreneur can then resubmit the determination application to the UWV as soon as the auditor's statement is received.
NOTE: For this, it is essential that the determination application is submitted by 31 October 2021, indicating that the auditor's report will still follow. The 14 weeks begin to count at the time the determination application is submitted.
The option to abort the application will also be introduced for applications where a third-party statement needs to be attached.
For determination applications where an auditor's or third-party statement is not required, the 14-week deadline obviously does not apply.
Second - sixth tranche
However, the deadline for submitting requests for NOW grant determination for the third to fifth tranches (NOW-3.1 - 3.3) will be adjusted. This deadline will be the same as that for the sixth tranche (NOW-4). This will allow the determination of NOW for the third to sixth tranches to be combined.
