Until 31 December 2024, entrepreneurs and non-profit organisations can apply for subsidies to buy a new zero-emission company car. As the pot for this was empty, the government doubled the available €30 million at the end of July.
SEBA
This concerns the Zero Emission Commercial Vehicles (SEBA) subsidy scheme, which we write about in our article Subsidy for Emission Emission-Based Commercial Vehicles (SEBA). This increase is unlikely to empty the pot, making it worth applying for subsidies even towards the end of the year. RFO keeps on its website daily track for which part of the grant pot grant applications have been received, withdrawn or rejected.
NOTE: The grant must be applied for before the purchase contract is finally signed.
Entrepreneurs are usually also entitled to Environmental Investment Allowance (MIA). For this, the investment must be notified to RVO within 3 months of signing the final purchase contract. The MIA must then be claimed in the income or corporate tax return.
