‘No problem,’ you might say. Applications submitted after the budget has been exhausted are carried over to the new year. To prevent the new year’s budget from being exhausted straight away as a result, this arrangement is being amended.
Applications submitted after the budget has been exhausted will no longer be processed. These applications will be rejected. You can find this change in the Official Gazette. The change comes into effect on 30 October 2020.
In addition, it is stipulated that a year’s budget may only be used for purchase or lease agreements signed in that year. For example, a purchase made in November of a given year is not eligible for a grant in the following year.
From your first day at work
It goes without saying that there are currently a lot of applications being submitted at the start of the new year. However, you don’t have to sacrifice your New Year’s Day to do so. Applications for the grant can no longer be submitted from 1 January, but only from the first working day of the year (for 2021, therefore, the first day is 4 January). The reason for this change is that on New Year’s Day and at weekends, the helpdesk of RFO is not available.
