From November, an additional surcharge of €2 will apply to parcels from outside the EU

From 1 November 2026, importers will be required to pay a handling fee on e-commerce consignments sent from outside the EU to a consumer within the EU. This fee amounts to €2 per product category, regardless of the value of the consignment. This means that the handling fee will also be charged on products valued at over €150. 

Import duties

For consignments up to and including €150, Customs has been levying import duties since 1 July 2026. This amounts to €3 in import duties per product category. For consignments worth more than €150, the amount depends on the total cost, the material the product is made of and its country of origin.
