From 2 June 2015 until no later than 15 September 2015 (5pm), employers who have supervised MBO-BL students can apply for the Practical learning subsidy applications. The application is made retrospectively and covers the study period from 1 August 2014 to 31 July 2015. The maximum grant amount is € 2.700 per supervised student. Employers receive the subsidy in proportion to the number of weeks in which the student was supervised by them during the aforementioned period.
Application is made through the E-desk of www.rvo.nl. This requires eRecognition level 1. If the application is approved, the grant will be paid out by 15 December 2015. The total grant amount is capped but will not be paid out on a first-come, first-served basis. It therefore makes no difference to the grant amount whether you submit your application promptly or towards the end of the deadline.
It concerns the practical supervision of students at a recognised MBO vocational training course (mbo-bbl). These students work 3 or 4 days a week in a company (vocational practice) and attend classes at school the rest of the week. Only courses aimed at a full diploma are eligible.
Students at a mbo-bol (vocational training route) are not eligible; these students spend most of their time at school.
The employer must be registered as recognised training company. Application for this recognition shall be made through www.stagemarkt.nl. For each supervised student for whom the subsidy is applied, the employer must be able to provide records that meet all legal obligations. Part of these records is an apprenticeship contract. In addition, there must be a record of attendance and how the student was supervised and how the set learning objectives were achieved. These records must be kept for at least five years.
