You still have just over a week to apply for NOW 3.0 (PLEASE NOTE: new application period announced!)

The various financial support measures introduced in response to the coronavirus crisis all have different deadlines, some of which are still being adjusted here and there. It’s quite likely you’re finding it hard to see the wood for the trees.

Application period ≠ grant period

For the third tranche of the NOW scheme (NOW 3.0), your application must by 13 December 2020 at the latest received by the UWV. After all, the application period does not coincide with the grant period (the grant period runs from 1 October 2020 to 31 December 2020 inclusive).

Due to the lockdown that has come into force, the application period has been reopened from 15 to 27 December 2020.

Too late = no grant

That deadline is final. The online application portal will close after 13 December 2020. It will then no longer be possible to apply for the grant.

That may still be possible for the fourth and/or fifth instalments. But even then, do keep an eye on the application periods. Compared to the grant periods, these are shorter than you might expect.
