On Sunday 8 September 2019, the second edition of Swim to Fight Cancer will take place in Nijmegen. Swim to Fight Cancer is dedicated to raising money for cancer research. Donations help fund research by young, talented researchers who are working on better treatments for cancer, so that one day the disease will no longer be fatal. To achieve this, participants and teams will swim 1.5 kilometres in the Spiegelwaal, thereby raising money. Last year, a total of €159,493.61 was raised, and the foundation aims to double that amount this year. We, too – with a team from VWG – will be taking part this coming Sunday. Our aim is to raise money for cancer research. But, of course, we cannot do this without your help. It would be fantastic if you could sponsor the VWG team so that, together with us, we can take a stand against cancer. Every donation is incredibly valuable.
