Working smarter

Your organisation runs on processes: how you bring in new customers, how you deliver, execute projects, service, plan, procure, report...
If everyone does it “in their own way”, sooner or later you get stuck.
VWG IT & Dataconsultancy helps you work smarter: less manual hassle, more structure, more overview - in all your organisation's key processes.
Do you recognise this?
- “This process is not running smoothly, but we don't really know where it is going wrong.”
- “Everyone works in their own way, there is no one-size-fits-all process.”
- “Our processes take a lot of time, we still do a lot of things manually.”
- “We already have systems, but people only half work in them or around them.”
- “We are constantly behind schedule, customer appointments or internal coordination.”
If you recognise this, chances are there are quick gains to be made - without having to shake everything up right away.
What we do for you
Together with you, we look at the way work is done now and look for concrete improvements. Think about:
1. Process scan
We map one or more processes, for example:
- The commercial process: from lead to customer;
- order or delivery process;
- project or service delivery process;
- service and support handling;
- planning and resource process;
- supporting processes such as HR, procurement or internal requests.
We look at lead times, handover times, systems, Excel lists, emails and all the in-between work.
2. Understanding where it gets stuck
We make visible:
- Where things stall or go wrong;
- Where duplication occurs;
- Where there is ambiguity about who does what;
- where information is missing or has to be searched for again and again;
- where manual work is actually no longer necessary.
No thick reports, but a clear picture with which to make decisions.

3. Improvements and quick wins
We formulate concrete improvements, for example:
- Simplify or standardise steps;
- clear working practices and agreements between departments;
- shifting tasks to the right role or place in the process;
- make better use of systems you already have;
- smart little tools (templates, checklists, forms) that give instant peace of mind.
We always start with quick wins: improvements that take little effort and yield a lot.
4. Automate where it really adds something
If automation makes sense, we'll watch:
- How to make better use of existing systems (CRM, ERP, planning, service, etc.);
- Whether there is functionality that you do not currently exploit;
- Which links or additional tools help reduce manual work;
- in which places automation is not wise.
We are vendor-neutral: we have no interest in any particular package, so we can think honestly.
5. Embedding in the organisation
A process improvement is only successful when people actually start working with it. That is why we also help you with:
- Involving the people doing the work;
- clear communication and instructions;
- capturing processes in a way that suits you;
- building in simple checks or feedback moments.
What does smarter working deliver?
- Time savings - less manual work, less searching and less “fire-fighting”.
- Fewer errors and misunderstandings - less reliance on individual “tricks” and more predictable processes.
- Greater clarity - everyone knows what the standard operating procedure is and who is responsible for what.
- Better collaboration - fewer islands between departments, more one line in the organisation.
- More room for growth and change - if the basic processes are in place, you can scale up and innovate more easily.

Our approach: practical and down-to-earth
A typical trajectory “working smarter”:
- Introduction & choice process(es)
- Analysis & process scan
- Proposed improvements (quick wins + bigger improvements)
- Implementation & assurance
Always in understandable language, with an eye for practice on the shop floor.
