For employees of <strong>21 years and over<\/strong>\u00a0this means a new gross amount of <strong>\u20ac14.40 per hour<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hourly wage as new norm<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the introduction of the <strong>Act introducing minimum hourly wage<\/strong>\u00a0on 1 January 2024, hourly wages will be the legal starting point. Minimum amounts per day, week or month have been dropped. This provides more clarity, but also requires attention when processing wages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are obliged to <strong>minimum legal hourly wage<\/strong>\u00a0to be paid regardless of the number of hours worked per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Young people and BBL apprentices<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For workers under 21, a percentage of the adult minimum wage applies.
