{"id":1533,"date":"2024-10-11T06:17:04","date_gmt":"2024-10-11T04:17:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/uncategorized\/subsidieregeling-verduurzaming-huurwoningen-verlengd\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:34:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T09:34:48","slug":"subsidy-scheme-to-make-rental-properties-more-sustainable-extended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/en\/subsidieregeling-verduurzaming-huurwoningen-verlengd\/","title":{"rendered":"Subsidy scheme to make rental properties more sustainable extended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rijksoverheid.nl\/actueel\/nieuws\/2024\/10\/10\/subsidieregeling-verduurzaming-en-onderhoud-huurwoningen-aantrekkelijker-voor-private-verhuurders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Subsidy scheme for sustainability and maintenance of rental housing (SVOH)<\/a> will be extended, expanded and simplified with effect from 1 January 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Extended until 31-12-2029<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We describe the terms of the scheme introduced in 2022 in our article <a href=\"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/en\/nieuws\/subsidieregeling-verduurzaming-en-onderhoud-huurwoningen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grant scheme for sustainability and maintenance of rental properties<\/a>. The scheme was due to expire on 31 December 2025. That will be extended to 31 December 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the SVOH budget of \u20ac152 million available for 2024, more than \u20ac141 million remained in the pot on 30 September 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Making sustainability more attractive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The scheme will be extended and simplified to make it more attractive for private landlords to make rental properties more sustainable. This is important partly because the energy label has started to weigh more heavily in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.volkshuisvestingnederland.nl\/actueel\/nieuws\/2023\/03\/14\/bereken-de-huur-op-basis-van-het-nieuwe-woningwaarderingsstelsel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">housing valuation system<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the application for subsidy for a heat pump or solar water heater moves from the ISDE to the SVOH, subsidy applicants can meet the condition of 2 measures sooner, making them eligible for a higher subsidy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maximum amounts are increased from \u20ac6,000 per rental property to \u20ac10,000 (\u20ac15,000 including heat pump or solar boiler). The maximum subsidy amount of \u20ac400,000 per landlord is dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As little as \u20ac25,000, the grant can now be applied for in advance. Subsidy is also possible when existing rental properties are split and there will be improvements for listed buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look for the conditions applicable as of 1 January 2025 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/open.overheid.nl\/documenten\/708eee1e-8d73-4966-a9f8-88cec21c4205\/file\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">text<\/a> of the scheme.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>De Subsidieregeling verduurzaming en onderhoud huurwoningen (SVOH) wordt met ingang van 1 januari 2025 verlengd, uitgebreid en vereenvoudigd.
