It has recently become clear that this also applies to vocational education (MBO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No check on additional income<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the introduction of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eerstekamer.nl\/wetsvoorstel\/36229_wet_herinvoering_basisbeurs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Act on the Reintroduction of the Higher Education Basic Grant<\/a> With effect from 1 January 2024, the limit on additional earnings for students in vocational education (MBO) will be abolished. In 2022 and 2023, the <a href=\"https:\/\/duo.nl\/particulier\/home\/actueel\/voorstel-kabinet-geen-bijverdiencontrole-voor-mboers-over-2022-en-2023.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Education Implementation Service<\/a> (DUO) no longer takes additional earnings into account. The Senate confirmed this on 6 June 2023.
