{"id":1261,"date":"2022-08-24T06:33:48","date_gmt":"2022-08-24T04:33:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/uncategorized\/nieuwe-brieven-mrb-vrachtautos\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:34:20","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T09:34:20","slug":"new-mrb-registration-certificates-for-lorries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/en\/nieuwe-brieven-mrb-vrachtautos\/","title":{"rendered":"New MRB certificates for lorries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Tax and Customs Administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.belastingdienst.nl\/wps\/wcm\/connect\/bldcontentnl\/berichten\/nieuws\/nieuwe-brieven-motorrijtuigenbelasting-vrachtautos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a> It should be noted that, since mid-June 2022, owners of lorries have been receiving letters regarding motor vehicle tax (MRB) with a new layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No spam or phishing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Tax and Customs Administration is doing this because business owners are, of course, wary of the fake letters used by fraudsters to try to swindle money out of unsuspecting business owners, who may consequently fail to pay the motor vehicle tax they owe. Until the end of 2022, the Tax and Customs Administration will be sending out letters from both the new and the old systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Tax and Customs Administration states that the sender of the letters is: <em>Central Administrative Processes, Vehicle Taxation Department<\/em> or <em>Central administrative processes, Collection Cluster<\/em>. The Tax and Customs Administration\u2019s telephone number is listed below the address: 0800-0749. And it is very important to note that the Tax and Customs Administration\u2019s bank account number has not changed: NL86INGB0002445588.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Payment slip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new letters will not include a payment slip, but will contain payment details instead. This is, of course, because the payment slip is being phased out as of 1 June 2023.
