{"id":1172,"date":"2022-01-14T07:12:23","date_gmt":"2022-01-14T06:12:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/uncategorized\/salaris-dga-weer-omhoog\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:34:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T09:34:10","slug":"directors-salaries-on-the-rise-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/en\/salaris-dga-weer-omhoog\/","title":{"rendered":"Directors\u2019 salaries on the rise again"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With effect from 1 January 2022, the minimum salary that a director and major shareholder (DGA) must earn has been increased to \u20ac48,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Usual wage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A DGA is a person who holds 5% or more of the issued share capital of a private limited company (BV). Where a DGA works for that company, they must receive a salary that is at least equal to the higher of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>75% of wages from the most comparable employment;<\/li><li>the wages of other employees working for the private limited company (or the group);<\/li><li>\u20ac 48.000.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latter amount was increased by \u20ac1,000 as at 1 January 2022 compared with 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The customary salary also applies to the director-owner\u2019s partner, if they work for the private limited company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bearing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There may be circumstances that justify a director and major shareholder (DMS) receiving a lower salary. The DMS must then provide evidence to support this.
