{"id":1006,"date":"2020-11-04T07:43:33","date_gmt":"2020-11-04T06:43:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/uncategorized\/digitale-uitstelportaal-weer-geopend\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T10:33:54","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T09:33:54","slug":"digital-deferral-portal-re-opened","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/en\/digitale-uitstelportaal-weer-geopend\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital deferral portal reopens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7472\" src=\"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/20200205_aangiftetermijn-schenkbelasting.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"628\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With effect from today (4 November 2020), the Tax and Customs Administration is reopening the online portal for applying for special deferral of tax payments.<\/p>\n<h4>Extension of the relaxed deferral policy<\/h4>\n<p>The State Secretaries for Finance have announced this in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rijksoverheid.nl\/documenten\/kamerstukken\/2020\/11\/03\/kamerbrief-over-verlenging-versoepeld-uitstelbeleid-tot-1-januari-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">letter<\/a> to Parliament. The relaxation of the rules is necessary because many business owners are being hit hard (once again) by the second wave of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>The relaxed policy on special deferrals of tax payments is being extended until 31 December 2020.<\/p>\n<h4>Late requests for a postponement<\/h4>\n<p>Business owners who did not apply for a special deferral of payment before 1 October 2020 can still do so now. They will then be granted a deferral of payment until 31 December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>And the relevant repayment scheme applies to the tax liability accrued during this deferral period:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>repayments to commence from July 2021 (first repayment instalment due by 31 July 2021 at the latest);<\/li>\n<li>repay in 36 equal monthly instalments (or sooner).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Business owners who have applied for the special payment deferral but who did not request an extension after the initial three-month deferral period may still do so now.<\/p>\n<h4>Factsheet<\/h4>\n<p>We explain the rules regarding special payment deferrals in our factsheet <a href=\"https:\/\/vwg.nl\/en\/nieuws\/bijzonder-uitstel-van-betaling-in-verband-met-de-coronacrisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Special payment deferral in connection with the coronavirus crisis<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Met ingang van vandaag (4 november 2020) opent de Belastingdienst weer het digitale portaal voor de aanvraag van bijzonder uitstel van betaling voor belastingen.
